About The Photographer

Hello! I'm Brenda Bravo, director and lead photographer of Bravo Image. I'm a proud "purrent" of two spoiled and loveable cats, Picasso and Dalí; 200hr YTT Yoga instructor, lover of kickboxing, the ocean, and music concerts; former model; wanderlust and always looking up at the clouds.

I was born in Los Angeles, California (to Peruvian parents) and have lived throughout Northern and Southern CA most of my life until March 2011 when I decided to up & move to Lima, Peru to pursue my dream of being a full-time photojournalist and documenting social work in the slums of Lima. I moved back to the States in 2018 and now reside in Pasadena, CA.

Some backstory about my training...

After graduating from California State University at Fullerton in 2010 with a bachelor's in Visual Communication & minor in Sociology, I attended several photography workshops around the world for years including the Look3 Festival of the Photograph (Charlottesville, VA); Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Mexico City; BodaF in Querétaro, Mexico; Beyond [Wedding Photography] Workshop in Lima, Peru 2016 & 2017; and Elite Fashion Photography Workshop in Los Angeles and Miami in 2021.

Each of these experiences brought out a different world within me and taught me the value of photography as a tool to help us see, not only things or other people but ourselves.

My greatest gift is the ability to help others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin and in front of my lens.
